The contemporary outdoor display in Garden Grove, Calif., serves as a symbol of comfort and hope for Vietnamese-Americans. At the center of the shrine is a 12-foot-tall Italian marble statue. The statue depicts the Virgin Mary standing on a cloud holding the baby Jesus.
The structure is built with 400 steel panels designed to represent a rainforest setting and three banyan trees. A focal point is the roof canopy over the Virgin Mary statue made of specially-fabricated glass panels by GlasPro. The 1,000+ square foot roof is constructed of 80 glass skylights – ¼” clear heat-strengthened / 65% white PVB / ¼” clear heat-strengthened glass. GlasPro customer, Inter-Sky Skylights (Lake Forest, Calif.), carefully and precisely installed the magnificent glass roof.
